Standard Billing Rates

STANDARD BILLING RATES

The law firm of Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto, LLP has adopted the following standard market hourly billing rates for paralegal/law clerk and attorney time.  For attorneys fees these standard rates are based on the number of years experience out of law school.  Standard billing rates are revised annually and they are effective on June 1 of each year.

When substantial delay in payment occurs and fees are incurred for work performed over multiple years it is the policy and standard billing practice of this firm to bill at the current standard rate (i.e., the year in which the payment is to be made) as opposed to the historic rate (i.e., the year in which the work is performed).  This billing practice is to compensate the firm for substantial delays in payment or where at least one full year has passed from the time of work to the time of payment.
