Comprehensive Online Whistleblower Resource Launched
Stephen M. Kohn, leading whistleblower attorney and partner at Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto, recently released The New Whistleblower’s Handbook: A Step-by-Step Guide to Doing What’s Right and Protecting Yourself (Lyons Press 2017). This updated resource brings the most comprehensive and authoritative guide to exposing workplace wrongdoing up-to-date with new information on wildlife whistleblowing, auto safety whistleblowing, national security whistleblowing, and ocean pollution whistleblowing.
This easy to read consumer’s guide includes ten new rules for whistleblowers and, with over 200 new pages, updates on key areas of whistleblowing, including wildlife whistleblowing, auto safety whistleblowing, national security whistleblowing, and ocean pollution whistleblowing. It also includes a “Toolkit” for international whistleblowers.
Kohn and his team created a special online whistleblower resource to accompany The New Whistleblower’s Handbook that provides key laws, legislative history, cases, articles and videos for each rule. The resources behind each of the 30 rules in the book were carefully compiled for use as a tool when at a hearing, in a meeting with managers, or just for more information about whistleblowing. The 30 Rules and Resources for Whistleblowers provides on-the-go information for whistleblowers to know their rights before they blow the whistle and what steps to take to protect themselves.
This resource is available free of charge to those who have purchased The New Whistleblower’s Handbook, accessed it from a library or that have donated at least $50 to the National Whistleblower Center.
